In January there were 1487 homes listed for sale in Macomb County. 560 homes only stayed on the market an average of ~get this~ 16 DAYS. This is a strong indication that the houses are being priced correctly. The average SOLD price was $87,313.
Now is the best time to buy. The first half of the year will also have the best rates and tax incentives. The best deals sell fast with multiple offers so be prepared to act quickly. Short sales require patience and it is a good idea to have a back up home/plan.
This year,every homeowner in Michigan should be assessing their long term and short term housing goals.
